With the mission to incentive the personal growth and transformation of kids and teenagers from the Favela of Vidigal, using percussion music as the main tool, the BATUCAVIDI support the development of fundamental principles like self-empowerment, independence, ethical values, citizenship, opportunity to travel abroad the favela, giving them life experience and teaching about the importance to search and construct their own identities.
For the cultural and musical presentations in United Nations - Geneve, the young artists of Batucavidi have been preparing a selection of Brazilian rhythms composed of, Samba-Reggae, Funk of different styles, samba, carnival rhythms, and songs that bring with them the identity of the place they are proud to be born.
