"EXPLORE, REPORT, INSPIRE"

On its 90th anniversary in 2018, the Foreign Press Association in Switzerland and Liechtenstein (APES), with its headquarters at the United Nations in Geneva, is to present an exhibition of 50 high quality, artistic, printed on acrylic photographs.
They come from more than fifteen years of work by Swiss photographer Pierre-Michel VIROT, mainly for APES, along with other regular assignments for UN agencies such as the WHO, UNAIDS, WMO, ITU, etc.
The exhibition centres around thirteen themes, in twenty-six UN member countries, across four continents:
Behind the lens, the photographer’s fascination portrays the diverse beauty of landscapes and the nature around them. His humane eye in capturing those he photographs, through facial expressions and gestures, shows their raw humanity. His curiosity delves into the lives of men and women wherever they live on our vast planet.
Observing a diverse world, as any good APES journalist, Pierre-Michel VIROT reminds us of the need to connect with people in their habitats to show humanity’s extraordinary proximity, devoid of divisions and barriers that are too easily whipped up to create cultural divisions that detach us from the universal values that unite us: our profound humanity.

« EXPLORE, RAPPORTE, INSPIRE »
