Description

The Permanent Mission of Austria presents the Sculpture exhibition “Too Tall to Overlook”, in collaboration with Caritas Vorarlberg

The exhibition consists of 10 figures produced by 15 Austrian boys and girls, aims to highlight children’s rights. Since children are rather small and unfortunately overseen many times, just as their rights, those figures cannot be overseen, just as children’s rights should not be overseen. The exhibition has already been shown at the UN Office Vienna in February 2017 and the Austrian parliament in March 2017.

The exhibition, which is going to be opened by the President of the Republic of Austria, Alexander Van der Bellen, will take place at the first day of the high level segment of the Human Rights Council. The children who have made the figures will also be present and have prepared texts and explanations in English, to be told to every single person who is interested in the meaning behind each figure.

The exhibition will be on display at the Hall des Pas Perdus, A Building, 3rd Floor - Door 14, from 26 February to 9 March 2018.

The opening ceremony will take place on Monday 26 February at 12:30 p.m.
