The Intergovernmental Forum on Mining, Minerals, Metals and Sustainable Development (IGF) supports nearly 70 nations committed to leveraging mining for sustainable development to ensure negative impacts are limited and financial benefits are shared.

The IGF’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) is a unique opportunity to engage with government officials from the IGF’s member nations and representatives from industry, civil society and academia. This year’s theme is Modern Mining Law and Policy: Accountable, Equitable and Innovative Approaches. The AGM is taking place October 15 to 19, 2018, at the Palais des Nations in Geneva.

UNCTAD is pleased to host the IGF’s 14th AGM. UNCTAD has been a partner of the IGF since 2005, when it was officially established in Geneva, and hosts the Forum’s annual meetings and sits on its Executive Committee.
