Organized by the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva.
The Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation, together with the Russian network of the UN Global Compact (Network Russia), wishes to organize a photo exhibition entitled “Breathtaking Russia”. This event presents images from the annual national open photo project of the same name, which was initiated in 2008 by the Winzavod Centre for Contemporary Art with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. The photo project invites any photographer, from amateurs to professionals, to submit images, covering various aspects of life in all regions of the country.
The exhibition aims to reflect a year of life in Russia through photos that show the Russian people and the environment, including daily personal stories of civilians and their concerns and aspirations, to significant public events and places. Each year, the winning photos are presented in an exhibition at the Winzavod Centre for Contemporary Art, after which they are exhibited in various venues in Russia and abroad.
The exhibition is being presented in the framework of the 6th session of the United Nations Forum on Business and Human Rights (27 to 29 November 2017).
The exhibition will be on display at the Passerelle, E Building, 3rd Floor - Door 40. From 27 November to 15 December 2017.
