The Permanent Mission of Tunisia together with Association Haïdra (Montreux, Switzerland) wish to organize a textile exhibition consisting of traditional Tunisian and Swiss clothing and jewelry. Traditional garments not only vary from country to country, but also through generations. This exhibition seeks to highlight the diverse cultural heritage of both countries, as well as to celebrate a century of tourism between Tunisia and Switzerland.
Throughout the exhibition, live demonstrations of Tunisian craftsmanship will be performed, allowing audiences to learn about Tunisian customs as well as appreciate the detailed clothing designed via unique embroidery techniques. In addition, the traditional Swiss attires will help visitors of the exhibition to better understand and appreciate Swiss tradition, connecting versatility with style and eccentricity with modesty.
