Organized by the Permanent Mission of the People's Republic of China.

The Permanent Mission of the People’s Republic of China wishes to organize a cultural performance, to be presented by the China Disabled People’s Performing Art Troupe (CDPPAT). The event will comprise a variety of dance and musical pieces.

Founded in 1987, CDPPAT is composed of 110 performers with sight, hearing, mental and motor disabilities or speech impairments. The troupe is a symbol of the hopes and dreams of persons with disabilities, with the performers having toured throughout China and in some 40 countries on the five continents. The success of the troupe led to its designation as a UNESCO Artist for Peace on 31 July 2007.

The troupe promotes self-respect, self-confidence, self-improvement and self-reliance, as well as mutual respect, care, aid and complementarities. The troupe and staff members design and create programmes, train performers and young emerging talents, and produce promotional and audio-visual products.
