Description

Organized by the Permanent Mission of Russian Federation to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva.

The Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation, together with the Russian network of the UN Global Compact (Network Russia), wishes to organize a dance and play performance entitled “I Dance”, presented by  performers with disabilities, including those with Down syndrome.

This performance takes place in the framework of the the 6th session of United Nations Forum on Business and Human Rights (27 to 29 November 2017). It aims to communicate to audiences the rights of those with disabilities, and to reflect the emotions and sincerity that they show to the world in being themselves.

The performance was the first event in the framework of the “InterAction” project—a young Russian volunteer movement that aims to create and encourage tolerance, and expand opportunities for development and participation in society, and promote the professional relevance and capability of people with Down syndrome.

The performance will take place at the Assembly Hall, A Building, 3rd Floor - Door 14 on Tuesday, 28 November 2017 at 18:30.
